Hollywood stars mourned the death of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was killed Wednesday afternoon after being shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31 and leaves behind his wife, Erika, and their two young children.
“It’s been a hard day not only in our family, but all over the country. Charlie Kirk was one of the kindest, smartest and bravest people I’ve ever met,” country star Jason Aldean wrote on Instagram. “I’m honored to have met and spoken with him on a few occasions. He was a man of peace and wanted nothing but the best for our country and its youth. We might have lost Charlie today, but what he has done will live on forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, kids, and the entire Kirk family.”
Actress Candace Cameron Bure wrote, “We love you, Charlie. Well done, good and faithful servant.”

“My heart is with Charlie Kirk’s family, and with the United States,” Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote on X. “Politics has become a disease in this country, and it’s deadly. But don’t listen to the pessimists who say there is no cure. There is a cure. It is inside of us. We must find our better angels and walk back from the extremes.”
“If we can’t agree on anything else, we must find agreement that we don’t solve our debates with violence. This is a horrible tragedy. May it also be a moment for everyone to rediscover their humanity,” he added.
Pat Boone took to Facebook and wrote, “Charlie Kirk was, and will always be, an Apostle, just like Peter, James, and John in the Bible…a messenger with a vital, soul-shaping and life-saving message. He served the same Lord unabashedly and courageously, and effectively, scattering precious seed everywhere he went. His message, one of joyous and lasting victory, his love even for those who disagreed, was evident and contagious.”
“And his reward, though too soon — ‘to be absent from the body and present with His Lord.’ 2 Corinthians 5:8. A true modern hero.”
Reality TV personality and personal trainer Jillian Michaels paid tribute to Kirk and said, in part, “Today the world lost a father, a husband, and a cultural force who encouraged honest debate and communication with those who disagreed. I’m utterly heartbroken and my prayers are with his family. He had such a powerful voice my young son took three flights just to shake his hand. Charlie was magnanimous and gracious — he welcomed me onto his podcast, invited me to his events, and offered me his platform even when we did not see eye to eye on certain topics. It’s a very rare and special soul who does that.”
Rising country star Anne Wilson wrote, “I’m completely shaken and heartbroken by the news of Charlie Kirk’s passing. Charlie was such a bold voice for my generation. He stood for truth when it wasn’t easy and lived his faith with so much courage, and it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that he’s gone because of such a senseless, hate-filled act.”
“It’s easy to feel scared or even hopeless when something like this happens, but Charlie wouldn’t want that. He’d want us to keep standing strong and speaking the truth no matter what,” she added.
Though he was a beloved activist and speaker, Kirk celebrated his role as a believer, husband and father above all else. Please keep Erika, their children and all his friends and family in your prayers.
