Christian singer and song writer Chris Tomlin continues to create music for God, recently releasing his 18th album, The King is Still the King.

“When you listen to this collection of songs and music pieces, I hope that you’re filled with the presence of God. It fills your car, your home, your heart as you sing these songs,” Tomlin told The Christian Beat of the album. “And these songs were meant to be sung. So turn it up. Sing it loud. I pray you’re blessed by it.”

The Grammy winner shared more about The King is Still the King, which released on Sept. 26, on Instagram.

“If I could describe in one world this new album, it would be the word celebration. I love that word, and I love what that means for us in our faith,” he said. “There’s so much to celebrate, and I hope that this record brings so much joy and life and that it lifts people up in their spirit. After nearly three decades of music, the message has never changed. The blood is still the blood, and the King is still the King.”

People in the comment section shared gratitude for the new album.

“Chris, I’m thrilled with your new album! Wonderful, full of God’s grace! It leads us to know more and more deeply our Lord and God the Father and the Holy Spirit,” one person said. Another fan added, “I love every one of your songs. Thank you for providing me a way to praise and to bring peace to my soul.”

Tomlin recently premiered a title track, “Still the King,” in a live performance from Vevo Studios.

He sings in the chorus:

Isn’t He worthy of all our worship?

Isn’t He worthy of the praises we bring?
How could my heart not sing hallelujah?
For the blood is still the blood
And the King is still the King

In addition to his new album, he recently helped lead worship at the memorial service for assassinated Christian conservative Charlie Kirk last month.

“I was so moved,” Tomlin said in an interview after the event that drew hundreds of thousands. “For Jesus to be proclaimed so boldly throughout this whole day by everyone…what an awakening moment in our nation. It feels like a shift; it feels like this real awakening that so many people have been praying for.”

It is encouraging to see musicians such as Tomlin continue to spread the truth of Jesus without shame or growing weary.
