Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton revealed the exciting news that they are expecting a third child together, a year after Culkin asked for more kids while accepting an Emmy.
“And Jazz, I want more [kids]. You said maybe, if I win!” Culkin said while accepting his Emmy in 2024.

Earlier this year, he reminded his wife of this promise while accepting an Oscar — revealing that she even promised him a fourth child if he was able to secure that award.
“I have to thank my wife Jazz for absolutely everything — for giving me my favorite people in the world,” he said in March while accepting the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. “About a year ago, I was on a stage just like this, and I very stupidly, publicly said that I want a third kid from her because she said that if I won the award she would give me the kid. Turns out she said that because she didn’t think I was going to win.”
“I think it got to her, but anyway, after the show, we’re walking through a parking lot, she’s holding the Emmy, we’re trying to find our car…and she goes, ‘Oh…I did say that. I guess I owe you a third kid.’ And I turned to her and I said, ‘Really, I want four,’” Culkin continued. “And she turned to me — I swear…this happened, it was just over a year ago — she said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’”
Culkin’s excitement to continue to expand his family is extremely sweet, especially given that he talks about it while accepting the biggest awards of his career. The actor has placed a major emphasis on being a good dad despite his busy schedule and takes every opportunity to be with them, even when it is unexpected.
“It had been really…probably shouldn’t say, but I don’t care…lovely for me,” Culkin said about the 2023 actors’ strike which allowed him to be away from his projects for more than three months. “I’d been hiding behind it. I’m like, ‘No work?’ Fantastic. I get these, thankfully, these large periods of time where I get to just do that, and there’s where I feel like I’m most me.”
In a time where so many celebrities focus on themselves, it is such an encouragement to see Culkin overjoyed to be a father and crave spending time with his kids over advancing his career.
