Comedian Jeff Foxworthy will have a solo stand-up special on Fox’s streaming platform, Fox Nation, on June 1.
The special is titled THE JOKE’S ON ME and will be filmed at the Gas South Theater in Duluth, Georgia.
“Comedy has always been about finding the funny in everyday life, but people don’t always get to see the work and process behind it,” Foxworthy said in a press release. “I’m grateful to Fox Nation for understanding the vision I had for this special and giving me the chance to share that journey with the audience.”
The special will focus on aging, family and reflection and will include some special footage from behind the scenes.

“This special captures the humor audiences have loved for decades while also reflecting on the moments, memories and experiences that defined his extraordinary career,” Fox Nation President Lauren Patterson said.
Foxworthy said Fox Nation has let him go about the special the way he wanted to, in particular with the behind-the-scenes aspect of it.
“In the last decade, you’ve seen things where you go behind the scenes with music and you see how songs are written and put together, whether in The Beatles thing or Billy Joel or whatever,” he explained. “But you don’t see behind the scenes with what goes on with a comic. People just think you walk up there and you open your mouth and you talk about what happened to you that day.”
“This is the easy part. The hard part is the writing and the grinding and the working and reworking, and I always wanted to show that, and nobody’s ever allowed me to do that until Fox Nation,” he said. “So I am so grateful for the opportunity to do something that’s different.”
Foxworthy is much more than a comic. The 67-year-old and former ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER host is also the best-selling comedy recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Awards nominee, author of more than 26 books and a Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee.
Foxworthy just performed a gig at Arkansas’s Walmart Amphitheatre on May 15 in front of over 10,000 people.
Other comics with standup specials on Fox Nation are Rob Schneider, Roseanne Barr and Jimmy Failla, Variety reported. Foxworthy currently has a special, THE GOOD OLD DAYS, streaming on Netflix, Media Play News said. He also hosts the comedy channel “Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup” on SiriusXM.
