More Detail:
O LITTLE CHRISTMAS MARKET, part of Hallmark’s Christmas in July programming, follows Olivia, who fights to keep her late father’s Christmas market alive. When she learns the property is for sale, she devises a plan to save it and confronts her feelings for Grayson, the architect whose family plans to buy it.
As a workaholic, Olivia prepares for the busy Christmas season. She helps her mother run their B&B, organizes a workshop for children to create miniatures—her true passion—and manages the town’s annual Christmas market, which her father started.
Fate brings Olivia and Grayson together at a train station, where they bond over their shared love for creation. Olivia builds miniature models while Grayson designs buildings. Their encounter, however, ends abruptly when Olivia’s train arrives early, leaving them without contact information.
Later, Olivia discovers that the property owner intends to sell to a developer. To her shock, she encounters Grayson again during a meeting with the property owner and learns that his family’s architecture firm plans to buy the land. Determined, Olivia convinces the property owner to grant her until Christmas Eve to create a plan.
Olivia hesitates to pursue friendship with Grayson but eventually connects with him while showcasing the Christmas market. Grayson, uncertain about his father’s plans, offers his help, and they strike a deal to find a mutually beneficial solution.
An idea sparks in Olivia’s mind to keep the market open year-round. Despite her enthusiasm, the costs prove too high. However, her friends and fellow vendors rally to raise the necessary funds, giving Olivia hope. When it seems like the market may survive, Grayson’s father dismisses her plan, citing insufficient resources. Olivia feels hurt as Grayson shares details about her idea with his father, who then finds ways to criticize it.
With one final opportunity to pitch her plan to the property owner and Grayson’s father, Olivia faces a crucial moment. Can she save the Christmas market, pursue her passions, and forgive a remorseful Grayson before Christmas arrives?
O LITTLE CHRISTMAS MARKET presents a fun and heartfelt holiday rom-com that intertwines a romantic storyline with themes of chasing dreams and finding fulfilling work. Lead actors Katherine Barrell and Stephen Huszar display great chemistry, delivering a charming Christmas tale.
