The JOY FM Middays host Candice Grey recently got in a severe bicycle accident that left her with multiple broken bones.

Last Saturday, Grey and her family were biking to the library when her e-bike hit a crack in the sidewalk, Crosswalk reported. She flew over the handlebars and landed chin-first. She broke her chin, jaw, ear canal and shoulder. Grey had jaw surgery on Thursday, and surgery on her shoulder is postponed for the coming weeks.

Another host from Joy FM’s The Morning Cruise, Carmen Brown, wrote about Grey, “Just so incredibly grateful her brain is absolutely unharmed! PRAISE Jesus!!! She’s in good spirits.”

“Of course, we’re all a little teary right now. We hate seeing her like this. But, she has been so overwhelmed by the love and prayers. She absolutely feels them!” she continued.

In her Instagram stories, Grey shared that the main way people can help her and her family now is by prayer. Some of her friends have also set up a GoFundMe for her.

“Praise God she has no brain damage and has treatable injuries, but she has a long road ahead of her,” her friends wrote. “Any amount of money to help support the Stendahl family would be very appreciated. And of course, your continued prayers for Candice on the road towards healing and recovery. We know God’s got this!”

The GoFundMe has raised nearly $6,000 for Grey and her family.

The JOY FM has set up a mailbox for her and a “Cards for Candice” program so that listeners can send her love, prayers and encouragement.

Grey shares two toddlers with her husband, Andrew, who is supporting her through her ordeal.

She previously shared how she met him: “We met on the dance floor at the Valentine’s Day dance my church threw every year. It feels very Hallmark movie but after meeting at the dance we saw each other again at the small-town ice cream shop he owned.”

“I went with my family and my mom talked to him for about 45 min (while the rest of us actually sat down and ate our ice cream) and after she asked how often I spent time with him,” she continued. “When I informed her that I haven’t spent any time with him outside of church she said ‘Well maybe you should,’ and the rest is history.”

When Grey is all healed up, you can catch her on JOY FM on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please pray for a fast recovery.
