Twenty-year-old bull rider John Crimber praised God after he won the Professional Bull Riders World Championship last weekend.
The Decatur, Texas, native won his first world championship over the weekend, where he “defended his tour-pacing position in Round 8 by recording a rank, round-winning 91.35-point conversion aboard What’s Poppin to clinch a spot in Sunday’s short round before a sold-out Dickies Arena crowd,” PBR stated in a press release.
After he won the title, Crimber gave the credit to Christ.
“This is what I’ve dreamed of since I was a little kid playing in the living room pretending I was a bull rider. This is what we live for – to become a World Champion and the best bull rider in the world – and I couldn’t do it without my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ,” he told the media.

“This world title, it’s not just for myself. This is for my dad, too. He’s the one who brought me here and made me who I am. His career was cut short, so this one’s for him, not me,” he emphasized.
Crimber took to social media afterwards to express more of his gratitude for winning the title.
“It’s been hard for me to find words to describe what this past weekend meant to me. First, I just want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for keeping his hands of protection over me throughout this PBR season and for always showing me that no matter the outcome, keep trusting your plans because your timing is perfect!!” he wrote.
“God placed a dream in my heart when I was just a little kid watching my hero ride (my dad) and I knew that this is who I wanted to be,” he continued. “One of my dreams was also to get what my dad deserved after his career was cut short. Now I’m blessed to say that our dream came true on Sunday!! I am so grateful to be crowned the 2026 PBR World Champion, PRAISE THE LORD!”
Crimber, once again, thanked his parents for all of their hard work and sacrifice.
“I’m very blessed to have @maria_crimber and @paulocrimber as my parents and for always supporting me through everything, I love you❤️ Lastly, thank you to everyone who reached out to me and for the support all year long. I am thankful for each and every one of y’all, God bless,” he concluded.
We applaud Crimber on his victory and for using his platform to praise God and thank his parents.
