Daniel Coleman, the founder of children’s content megagiant Danny Go!, announced the death of his son, Isaac. Isaac died on May 21 at age 14.

“Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process. But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride. Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son,” Coleman posted to social media.

Isaac was born with Fanconi anemia and battled significant health battles through his short life.

According to a post on the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, Isaac was pursuing a kidney transplant in 2020.

“My son, Isaac, was born with a pretty serious genetic disorder that had kind of a lot of effects on his body. Like, he’s missing some bones. He’s had a bone marrow transplant. He’s had a kidney transplant. So he’s had a crazy life. He’s an incredible kid. He’s super tough,” Coleman said.

Coleman initially began his YouTube channel, which now has episodes on Netflix, for Isaac.

The entertainer first started making videos for Lowe’s, where he worked for more than a decade.

“There’s a piece of me that kind of enjoys growing a platform with Danny Go! because there’s a lot of causes I care about that, you know, causes that chose me, like, Be The Match,” Coleman said. “We had to wait a long time to get a good match for him. So like, I’m very passionate about more people joining that registry in kidney donation, or any kind of organ donation, like I’m an organ donor. And we had to wait a long time for a kidney as well.”

Coleman chronicled Isaac’s journey via social media.

Last month, Coleman told followers that the family was pursuing palliative treatment for Isaac and the teen was on hospice.

“Haven’t updated on Isaac’s cancer in a bit and it’s still difficult for me to process and talk about. But the high-level update is that his cancer has continued to spread aggressively and his energy levels have dropped very low. We’re in the midst of a short palliative radiation round right now to slow down the growth of a large mass under his right eye, but we’ve shifted into a comfort-focused approach with him overall. He has a hospice team onboard now to help manage the pain & we are just doing our best to make each day as enjoyable and restful as possible for him. Mindy and I are heartbroken watching him decline, knowing how frustrating and scary this must be for him. But we’re trying to hold it all together & keep soaking up the time we still have with our boy,” Coleman said.

Please pray for the Coleman family, as well as the millions of fans who love his family.
