Ben and Erin Napier didn’t know if their new INN THIS TOGETHER series would air after the hotel they were working on with their friends caught fire.
But Ben reassured TV Insider the series will go on.
“We actually don’t know when it’s gonna air, but it’ll be later this year,” he said.
Erin added, “I hope what people feel is how enormously proud we are of our friends for what they did. I mean, it was such a massive undertaking for them. I hope that people see and are inspired to see how much they can do for the town where they live.”
It was a terribly sad event to see the inn they worked so hard on go up in flames.
“After so much celebration last week, today my best friends @malraz, Jim, and @joshuanowell lost their labor of love, their dream, @theheirloom.us hotel in an early morning fire,” Napier wrote on Aug. 26.

She continued, “Before they ever even welcomed the first guest. Praise God, no one was inside. We held each other and watched while the brave fire fighters from the Laurel FD worked for hours to get it under control.”
She said she didn’t know what would happen next and asked for prayer.
She said, “It is hard to explain how this reverberates through our town and its progress in many ways. But I know God has a plan for this setback. He always knows the way, even when we don’t.”
Last month, she shared, “This was their baby. To watch them give their all — and I really mean give their all to create this masterpiece — and then to watch it burn together, was devastating.”
The hotel’s fire was caused by an electrical issue, Laurel Leader-Call reported. In October, the hotel’s owners shared that they’ll do the only thing they can do, through faith: “keep building.”
Erin says the INN THIS TOGETHER series shows more than a renovation. It shows the power of human endurance and doing “hard things.”
In other news, Season 10 of HOME TOWN just had its premiere on Jan. 4. One of their biggest projects is a two-episode renovation of a hospital maternity ward — the same one that Erin gave birth to her two daughters in.
“We have a lot of very highly charged emotional days that happened in that postpartum room,” she explained. “I cried like an idiot at the reveal and I fully, fully didn’t intend to. I was so embarrassed.”
She noted, “It’s a special place and it’s such a special episode. I got emotional because it was all about … like, I hope these nurses and doctors, who were so incredible towards me and towards my family, every time we’ve ever been there, feel honored by it.”
Her aim was to make it a “five-star” stay for mamas.
“I want it to be the most comforting and joyful and restful experience that it can be,” she added. “And it’s just really special.”
The next episode will air Sunday, Jan. 25.
