PROPERTY BROTHERS Drew and Jonathan Scott are on a mission to offer kindness this year.
Jonathan’s resolution is to “say goodbye to boring,” he told The National News Desk recently. “I don’t want to just keep doing the same things that people expect to see. Try and do something unique and special, and especially something that represents you and what you love.”
“Go out of your way to show kindness,” he added. “I think that is just a huge thing that the world needs right now.”
Drew related to everyone’s tendency to procrastinate but offered encouragement not to start small.
“Stop yourself right there, and go to the big thing right away,” he emphasized. “If you chisel away at that, and you look back a year later, you’re gonna realize you have moved mountains.”

The brothers have showed kindness in several of their shows. One of them is CELEBRITY IOU, which highlights a celebrity’s mission to renovate a loved one’s home in each episode.
Their latest project, PROPERTY BROTHERS: UNDER PRESSURE, will come out sometime this year. In it, they’ll help hesitant home buyers make a choice they’ll feel good about.
The brothers said they got the idea for the show after they received a lot of feedback from viewers who love their shows but want help with the home buying process, Fix It Homestead reported.
In October, the brothers announced, “New show alert! 🚨 PROPERTY BROTHERS: UNDER PRESSURE is coming to @HGTV in 2026! We’ll be guiding homeowners through the emotional and financial challenges that come with making the biggest purchase of their lives.”
The PROPERTY BROTHERS stars added, “We’ll be hands on for every part of the journey from buying, renovation and of course, design. Can’t wait for you all to see it!”
“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” said Howard Lee, Chief Creative Officer, US Networks, Warner Bros. Discovery.
Drew said the show will display the whole process of house hunting, putting in an offer and renovating.
He said, “It’s so interesting to see the different dynamics of families and what they feel that they don’t want to touch their home because they just don’t know where to start.”
“If we had a room of 100 families that had just purchased or renovated a home, and we said, ‘How many of you felt that you were so under pressure that you want[ed] to quit the whole process?’ I guarantee you, every hand would go up right now,” Jonathan added. “That’s just the state that we’re in right now, the cost of renovations, the chaos.”
Hopefully, their new show will help viewers feel more confident about home buying, too.
