PROPERTY BROTHERS Announce Two New HGTV Series, CELEBRITY IOU Renewal

By Movieguide® Contributor

The PROPERTY BROTHERS Drew and Jonathan Scott have two new series and a renewal of their show, CELEBRITY IOU, coming soon to HGTV.

“The massively popular home-reno and real estate siblings have set two new series with their longtime Warner Bros. Discovery-owned cable home, BACKED BY THE BROS and DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PROPERTY BROTHERS, both working titles. Additionally, HGTV has renewed the brothers’ popular CELEBRITY IOU for a seventh season,” Variety reported.

In BACKED BY THE BROS, the Scott brothers will help beginner entrepreneurs with investment properties. In DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE, they will help homeowners make their near-unlovable homes more attractive and liveable.

The seventh season of CELEBRITY IOU continues with celebrities blessing those who have blessed them by giving them a house, with some help from Drew and Jonathan.

All of these ventures are set to be released next year.

The Laconia Daily Sun reported, “The new shows and CELEBRITY IOU Season 7 will be produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment with Drew and Jonathan serving as executive producers. DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PROPERTY BROTHERS is co-produced by Corus Entertainment.”

Movieguide® reported on the twins’ production company earlier this year:

With Scott Brothers Entertainment, the duo produces all of their own shows. However, at the start, they were just on-air talent.

Drew stated, “Jonathan and I started pitching ourselves to the networks in Canada. One of the network heads said, ‘You guys are great, I like your ideas, but we’d never give money to you. We need to give it to a trusted production company.’ We found one — but then, as we grew and learned production, we ended up buying the IP for our brand and starting our own production company [Scott Brothers Entertainment].”

The brothers are excited to expand their expertise in new areas that fans haven’t seen before.

“We can’t wait to share our two new shows with our fans and continue to create entertaining, educational and inspiring content,” Jonathan said. “As a trusted resource in real estate and home renovation, we are passionate about helping people find the right design solutions with their properties.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Drew and his son, Parker:

PROPERTY BROTHERS’ Drew Scott shared a skit on Instagram that captures parenthood all too well.

The video starts with a line of text that says, “When you take your eyes off your toddler for two seconds,” as Scott sets his two-year-old son in a crib. He then turns to grab a snack from the fridge, and when he turns back, his son is gone.

The skit ends with his son crawling away. Scott adds the hilarious caption, “Dad can’t even get a snack break?!”
