Evangelist Bryce Crawford shared a special moment between him and his now wife, Maddy, at their wedding earlier this month.

“This first prayer moment with Maddy was one of the most precious things to me that we did at our wedding,” Crawford said in a post on Instagram. “The moment she grabbed my hand, with my eyes closed so I wouldn’t see her in her dress, I just began to bawl my eyes out.”

“To be frank, I was overwhelmed with many different emotions, but JOY was the most prevalent,” he continued. “The reason why I was joyfully crying was because God found joy in trusting me with Maddy despite all of my sin, flaws and history of being an idiot years before her and years before following Jesus.”

“Marriage is a picture of just that — Gods desire to be in intimate relationship with us despite us being horribly wretched individuals,” Crawford explained. “It is HIS GRACE that I have been able to become a husband and it is HIS GRACE that He has loved us so deeply despite all of our rebellion against Him. Thank you Jesus for trusting me with Maddy and thank you JESUS for loving both Maddy and I unto death.”

A few days later, Crawford shared a wedding video with his prayer as the audio.

“God, I can’t describe in words how unbelievably grateful I am for today, for Maddy, for the weather, to get to come together and make a covenant and a commitment before you and people to love and serve Maddy, serve each other, take care of each other,” the evangelist prayed. “God, I thank you for Maddy, my beautiful bride.”

Crawford announced their engagement on Oct. 27, 2025.

“I’ve found my good thing,” he wrote in the announcement.

He also referenced Proverbs 18:22, which reads, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.”

The day before their wedding, Maddy was baptized by her soon-to-be husband and her father.

“Jesus has saved my life. He has transformed my heart and has given me a new life,” she said.

Maddy’s post featured Romans 6:4: “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

Praise God for how He is working in the Crawfords’ new marriage and the example marriage is of His love and grace towards us.
