Country music star Jelly Roll can’t wait for fans to catch his voice acting debut in the upcoming animated movie, GOAT.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this y’all — my voice acting debut is COMING SOON!!! And it gets even cooler, my new song ‘I’m Good’ from GOATS original soundtrack is what you’re hearing in this trailer. God is so, so good,” Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, shared on Instagram.
“From the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters, Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse, and producer Stephen Curry, #GOATmovie is exclusively in movie theatres February 13,” he continued.

Just as Jelly Roll said, NBA star Stephen Curry is a producer on the project.
Curry described GOAT as a family, fun-filled movie that ties into the sports community.
“It has something in there for every generation,” the athlete told USA TODAY. “We’re bringing something that hopefully is inspiring, something that brings family together, and something that’s uplifting to a lot of different people in the audience that can find their best selves through one of the characters.”
The movie follows Will, “a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball — a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that ‘smalls can ball!'”
Sony Pictures Animation is the production company behind GOAT, which Tyree Dillihay and Adam Rosette direct.
“Directing voice actors for animation is like conducting musicians in an orchestra and GOAT is the symphony,” Dillihay and Rosette told Deadline. “We are extremely blessed to be directing this incredible cast bringing charisma, creativity and comedy to our love letter to the underdog.”
Curry and his co-producer, Erick Peyton, added, “We’re thrilled to keep building an incredible roster of talent that brings the characters of GOAT to life. GOAT is a high-energy, laugh-out-loud adventure filled with heart, and we hope audiences will see themselves in these characters. And the best part? We’re just getting started.”
Alongside Jelly Roll, the movie stars Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola and Jennifer Hudson.
GOAT is set to make its theatrical premiere on Friday, Feb. 13. You won’t want to miss Jelly Roll’s voice acting debut!
