Disney Jr.’s new show, GRACIE’S CORNER, comes straight from YouTube.

The show has 6.3 million YouTube subscribers and almost 10 billion lifetime views.

The deal will include 120 shorts and 18 themed compilations, plus rights to develop new content, according to a Disney Media press release.

The YouTube series was created by Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth, Dr. Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth and Graceyn “Gracie” Hollingsworth. The series reimagines nursery rhymes and highlights dance.

“GRACIE’S CORNER reflects so much of what families already love about our preschool lineup – music, heart, playful learning and characters that kids want to engage with again and again,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. “The series brings a vibrant, music-driven world that encourages kids to sing, dance and learn, and we’re proud to introduce it to even more young fans around the world on Disney+ and Disney Jr.”

The show will premiere on Monday, June 15 on Disney+ with 68 shorts and seven compilations. It premieres the same day on Disney Jr. at 7 a.m. EDT/PDT.

Other shows on Disney Jr. are BLUEY, MARVEL’S SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS, MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE, SUPERKITTIES and the recently launched SOFIA THE FIRST: ROYAL MAGIC.

“When we started GRACIE’S CORNER six years ago, we never imagined this journey would lead to collaborating with Disney on original content, and we certainly never imagined seeing our work on Disney Jr. and Disney+,” the Hollingsworth family said. “What began as our family’s passion for creating fun, educational content has grown beyond our wildest dreams.”

“Seeing children and families sing, dance, learn and create lasting memories together through our music is the heart of our mission,” they continued. “We are honored to partner with Disney to continue bringing joyful stories to families around the world. We’re excited about what we can build together and the impact these stories can have on the next generation.”

The Hollingsworth family started GRACIE’S CORNER during the pandemic, AP news reported. Javoris noticed that none of the educational shows his children watched had characters that looked like them. He decided to change that.

“We were like every other parent, putting them in front of what we could to entertain them,” Arlene said.

Javoris shared on Instagram, “This didn’t happen because we are the most talented or the most resourced. It happened because we were obedient [to God]. We moved in purpose, trusting God with the outcome and refused to let fear have the last word.”

Disney contacted Javoris on LinkedIn a few years ago. He literally could not believe it.

“I thought it was a prank,” he said. “There’s no way Disney is reaching out to us.”

His family is excited for this next adventure.

“We always wanted to make sure that our content is accessible and available to those who may not have access to some of the things that others have,” he said. “Disney respected that.”

Last year’s “Gracie’s Corner Live” tour had several sold-out shows in its run. The series has has won four NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Children’s Program (2025, 2026) and Outstanding Animated Series (2025, 2026).
