Actress and author Priscilla Shirer delivered a passionate sermon that will encourage you today about the power we have as followers of Christ.
“When the enemy sees a daughter or a son of God coming his way, he’s shaking in his boots, not because of you, but because of the Holy Spirit of God that lives on the inside of you,” Shirer said in a video shared by TBN. “I came to tell somebody today that even if you don’t believe what it is that the word of God declares to be true about you, you need to know that the enemy does.

“He knows that every single thing that God’s word declares to be true about you…even if you’re not convinced about it, the enemy is. He knows that you have been forgiven,” she continued. “He knows that there is therefore now no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ, Jesus. He knows that you have been given the victory. He knows that you have been made competent by the Spirit of God. He knows that there is therefore now no condemnation for you or for me, no shame, no guilt. He knows that you have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind, and y’all he knows that in the end, we win.”
Shirer and her Going Beyond Ministries focus “on the expository teaching of the Word of God. We are committed to teaching the uncompromising truths of His Word. Our desire is not only to see all understand His written Word, but for all to experience His Power!”
Shirer does that through Bible studies like “The Armor of God.”
“All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A relentless enemy works to destroy everything that matters—your emotions, your mind, your relationships, your dreams, your future,” Going Beyond Ministries wrote in a post on Instagram.
“His plan works only if you remain unaware and unarmed. But his reign ends here. Right now. With you. The enemy always fails when he faces someone ready for battle. Someone who is armed and dangerous,” the post continued. “The Armor of God is more than just a biblical inventory. It’s a living action plan for putting on your armor, standing firm in faith, and walking in the victory that Christ has already won for you.”
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts, meaning that the same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives inside of us. We can live without fear of the enemy’s attacks because our future is secure.
