Country music fans will witness a historic farewell as legendary singer-songwriter Alan Jackson prepares for the final concert of his touring career.
The event, titled “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale,” will take place in Nashville at the Nissan Stadium on June 27 and will be filmed to air on television later this year as ALAN JACKSON: THE LAST SHOW. The performance will feature many of beloved musician’s hits from the last 30 years.
In 2021, Jackson revealed that he had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve disorder that affects balance and mobility. While he continued to perform in recent years, the condition played a significant role in his decision to step away from touring.
The Mayo Clinic explains, “Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease causes smaller, weaker muscles. It also may cause trouble walking, and loss of feeling in the legs and feet. Some people cannot tense their muscles. Foot issues such as hammertoes and high arches are common. Symptoms most often begin in the feet and legs. But in time, they may affect the hands and arms.”
Jackson spoke about the disease’s impact in 2024, saying, “I think it’s just getting time to start thinking about hanging it up full-time.”
“Most of my fans know I have a degenerative health condition that affects my legs and arms and mobility that I got from my daddy, and it’s getting worse and it makes me more uncomfortable on stage,” he explained. “I have a hard time and I just want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to.”

Even if fans can’t attend his farewell concert in person, they can still tune in later when it airs on NBC and streams on Peacock.
“Exciting News! ALAN JACKSON: THE LAST SHOW will air later this year on @nbc and stream next day on @peacock. Celebrating the music, memories, and fans who have been part of the journey every step of the way! Stay tuned for date and time details, so you don’t miss this unforgettable evening,” the singer’s Instagram account posted.
People in the comment section shared their love for Jackson.
“I knew they would air this since Alan is the Greatest Country singer ever❤️❤️❤️❤️” one fan said. Another added, “Alan Jackson and his real country music lives forever.❤️”
ALAN JACKSON: THE LAST SHOW is directed by Sam Wrench and produced by Joan of Arc StudioWorks and EverWonder Studios, Deadline said. Cindy Mabe, Dawn Gates and Harper Grae for Joan of Arc StudioWorks and Mike Antinoro and Raj Kapoor for EverWonder Studios executive produce, alongside Jackson, Debbie Doebler and RAC Clark.
The farewell concert features a star-studded lineup to celebrate Jackson’s legacy, including Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Eric Church, George Straight, Carrie Underwood, Adam Wright, Thomas Rhett, Carlisle Wright and others.
Since his entry into country music in the late 1980s, Jackson has built a legacy of traditional country music that people still love decades later. He has received dozens of awards, including multiple Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Fans are sad to see him go but can’t wait to watch him perform one last time.
