Anne Wilson Celebrates Recent Milestones: ‘Every Day is a Gift From God’

Anne Wilson is celebrating a pretty eventful April, from attending the CMT Awards to earning a No. 1 song.
“Headed to the @cmtawards, released REBEL, played the @todayshow with my cowboys, cuddled Annie Oakley, fell in love with these earrings @mudlowery made me, found out ‘Strong’ went #1, and had the most beautiful moments with my sweet family in between,” she wrote under a series of photos from those events.
Wilson continued, “I’m learning more and more about what it means to live in the moment. To put my phone away and be present in the world around me. I’m learning that every day is a gift from God we’re so undeserving of. I’m so thankful for this life He has given me but am more grateful for who HE is to me. Jesus is the prize and the treasure. He is what I live for. Now to May.”
Wilson recently blended her faith and her love of country music for her latest album, “REBEL.”
“It was really life-giving as an artist; this album felt very free-spirited, like I can write about my faith, but also about different things, too,” she told Billboard.

Christian artist Anne Wilson recently released her second album, “Rebel,” which combines her country and Christian roots.
“I didn’t change who I was. I stuck to who I am and what I believe, and it’s really cool to see how it’s all come together,” she told PEOPLE of her album.
“I was hesitant at first. I said, ‘I’m not gonna change who I am to do country music.’ And [Nashville recording exec Cindy Mabe] said, ‘We want you to be exactly who you are. We don’t want you to change a thing, and we need you to bring God back into country music,’” Wilson recalled.
Wilson’s latest single, “Strong,” went No. 1 on Christian radio.
“I felt the presence of The Lord so deeply when I recorded ‘Strong’ and still do today every time I listen to it,” she wrote of the track. “I’m so grateful for how HE is using this song to impact lives for His glory.”
