Many Christian artists released hits this year, but one name rose unmistakably above the rest.

Brandon Lake earned the No. 1 spot on the Hot Christian Songs chart and landed four songs in the year-end top 10 on Billboard’s 2025 year-end Christian charts.

Lake’s song “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” as well as other hits, contributed to his success.

“In November 2024, he reached a new milestone when ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah,’ a deeply personal ballad about faith refined through hardship, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 — a rare feat for a Christian song. He soon teamed up with genre-bending country star Jelly Roll for a powerful duet version,” his website says of the song.

It explains, “What started as a song born from Lake’s own struggles found new resonance in Jelly Roll’s journey. Their performance at CMA Fest in June 2025 went viral, earning millions of views in days and introducing Brandon’s music to an even broader audience.”

Other top Christian artists this year include . Elevation Worship, Forrest Frank, Phil Wickham, Elevation Rhythm, Megan Woods, Josiah Queen and Leanna Crawford, per Relevant Magazine.

In addition to this, Lake recently won the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award, thanks to “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” “That’s Who I Praise” and “Praise.” He was awarded at the ASCAP Nashville Songwriters Celebration this past November.

In an Instagram post, Lake expressed his appreciation for another nomination.

“l’m honored to be nominated alongside my brothers and sisters for the @recordingacademy,” he wrote. “Honored because for me these nominations represent the millions of lives that have heard and been impacted by these songs that point to Jesus. I’m thankful for the community I get to write and produce these songs with real community, folks that have changed my life forever. To God be the glory for it all.”

People in the comment section congratulated Lake.

“Congrats!!!! So deserved. Nobody moved the music world this year like you and Jelly!” one fan wrote. Another person added, “Congratulations!! Blessing after blessing is coming your way!”

Despite his immense success, Lake points it all back to God. Previously he said, “This is not about entertainment. This is about having an encounter with the living God.”

He added, “I’m not chasing a sound anymore. I’m chasing a feeling. I want people to feel what I felt when we wrote it — to experience something real.”

Lake continues to point to God regardless of his fame — an example that should remind us all of what true worship is all about.
