In honor of Charlie Kirk, TBN posted a clip of the Turning Point USA founder sharing his testimony.
“I just want to share my personal faith walk with you,” he began. “I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. It’s actually at Christian Heritage Academy in the suburbs of Chicago. Many of you may have heard of it.”
Kirk credited his teachers for leading him to faith in Jesus.
“When I came in contact with a couple of teachers that told me that I needed to give my life to Christ, it just spoke to my heart,” he explained. “And every year, as I have gotten older, my walk with Christ has strengthened and has meant more to me every single year.”
Kirk always spoke openly about his faith, frequently using it as a basis for his advocacy of Christian values in America.

He also shared what the gospel means to him: “The gospel in four words is ‘Jesus took my place.’ In three words, it’s ‘Him for me.’ Two words, ‘substitutionary atonement.’ In one word, it’s ‘grace.’ And I try to bring that message of the gospel and also the fight for liberty to high school and college campuses all across the country.”
2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction.” This is exactly what Kirk did in every season of his life.
“It’s about setting the captives free,” he proclaimed. “Free from sin, free from confusion, free from calamity and free from darkness.”
Kirk was assassinated last Wednesday at an event in Utah. He leaves behind his wife Erika and two young children.
People in the comment section reflected on the incredible legacy that Kirk left behind.
“He was an awesome testimony for our Lord. America, please believe and follow in our Lords footsteps. His footsteps not ours,” one user said. Another person added, “We miss you so much, Charlie. God bless you for the work you courageously did for Christ, and for the youth of our country and the world.”
Even minutes before his tragic assassination, Kirk proclaimed Jesus to thousands.
“It’s not just intrabiblical evidence, but extrabiblical evidence that Jesus Christ was a real person. He lived a perfect life, he was crucified, died and rose on the third day, and he is Lord and God over all,” he told the audience and Utah Valley University.
Kirk’s life and legacy are an example of someone who was willing to proclaim the gospel no matter the cost and should be an inspiration for all of us.
