Damar Hamlin ‘Put Family First’ During THE MASKED SINGER Appearance
By Movieguide® Contributor
Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin stopped by THE MASKED SINGER to update fans on his health following a terrifying accident on the field in early January.
Hamlin appeared on THE MASKED SINGER alongside his brother Damir to present a clue during the SESAME STREET-themed episode.
The football player wanted to be on the show “mainly because of my brother.”
“You know, that’s my world. I put family first. And he loves SESAME STREET more than most things, so we had to make it tonight,” Hamlin laughed.
Panelist Ken Jeong was moved to see Hamlin at the show, saying, “I’m just so glad you’re here. But more importantly, I’m just so glad you’re healthy. The whole world loves you.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Hamlin’s post-injury plans as he continues to recover:
In his first public comments since going into cardiac arrest, NFL player Damar Hamlin expressed his gratitude and shared his vision for the future.
“What happened to me on Monday Night Football I feel was a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love directly from my heart with the entire world,” Hamlin said, “now I’m able to give back to the kids and communities all across the world who need it most, and that’s always been my dream.”
Hamlin was speaking of his Chasing M’s foundation, through which he raised over $9 million for children’s toys last December. Damar started the Chasing M’s foundation in 2020 as a way to give back to his community while starting his entrance into the NFL.
