FIXER TO FABULOUS just finished filming its 100th episode!
Co-host Jenny Marrs reflected on her and husband Dave Marrs’s nine-year journey from the offer to star in their own TV show to now as they film the seventh season of their hit home makeover series.
“It’s truly wild to think that nine years ago, I received an email (that I thought was spam) asking Dave and me if we’d be interested in filming a television show about our work here in Arkansas,” Marrs posted on Instagram.
The interior designer said that her main caveat to doing the show was for it to be “authentic.”
“We weren’t interested in pretending or playing or acting,” she revealed.

She gave a shoutout to the production team for helping them to honor their vision for the show.
“Our fantastic production company agreed to include the inevitable mistakes, the challenges, and the actual work happening. We didn’t want to let others do our jobs and then sweep in and take credit for the work,” she continued.
She went on to thank the team for helping her and Dave create a show they can “be proud of” as they celebrated their 100th episode of the show that’s success spawned a spin-off, FIXER TO FABULOUS: ITALIANO.
“Looking back at the past 100 episodes, we are filled with immense gratitude that we get to do this work,” she wrote. “We get to create beautiful homes for beautiful families in our beautiful town and YOU choose to watch it all unfold.”
In another Instagram celebrating their show’s milestone, Jenny posted a short clip of Dave picking up a fig from a cutting board used for staging, and his wife playfully shouts, “Don’t touch the figs! No figs for you!” as Dave rubs his belly then puts back the fruit.
Fans might recall a clip of a deleted scene from FIXER TO FABULOUS: ITALIANO where Dave ate too many fresh figs (“I must have had about fifty of them,” he admitted) that didn’t agree with him.
While ITALIANO was a limited series, FTF will return this fall to HGTV.
In addition to starring in the Emmy-nominated-renovation show, the mom of five is getting ready to release her second book Trust God, Love People: Stories of My Openhanded Faith, coming out Oct. 7 of this year.
More than a memoir, Jenny hopes that her story will inspire others to trust God in their journey.
“The work is done and my prayer for this book continues to be that God uses it to encourage and uplift weary hearts while reminding each person reading that He writes the very best stories,” she posted in Instagram. “We simply have to trust Him (and love the people He places in our path along the way).”
