Former Model Battling Cancer Encourages Followers ‘Let God Help You’

Former model Nicole Weider is sharing a message of encouragement with her followers as she battles cancer.
Weider posted an image that features Romans 8:31: “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
“God is always on your side and rooting for you,” she wrote. “No matter what you may be facing- hardships, confrontation or any kind of challenges- Jesus is in your corner helping you. With this cancer diagnosis I have undergone some increased stress, but Jesus has given me the supernatural peace and patience I really need in this season.”
Weider shared that her stage 4 cancer diagnosis was something that took her by surprise, “but it doesn’t come as a surprise to God.”
“Even though it doesn’t make sense sometimes I still believe God is working all things out for my good and I just have to trust Him,” she said. “I have needed a lot of help in this season from Him. I battle thoughts of being afraid but also needing to stay positive and brave in front of our kids and family.”
Weider continued, “If you’re facing any kind of battle right now- just give it to Jesus. Try and surrender as much as you can and let God help you. Yes we need to pray and do what we can, but ultimately God can and will be the decision maker. Knowing that gives me a sense of relief.”
She has previously spoken about her cancer diagnosis, writing on Instagram, “Obviously you don’t know the whole plan until you get to heaven but at least in my case I’m starting to see things from God’s point of view…I don’t know how people go through something like this without God.”

“Happy New Year! I never thought going into the new year my resolution would be to fight cancer,” she wrote on Instagram, “and I know this picture isn’t a typical ‘cancer patient’ photo but I refuse to show up looking disheveled lol. (Maybe once in a while on a story. ?) with Jesus, your prayers, my families support and my trust in God I am claiming I will be CANCER FREE in 2024! I’m believing for a miracle! Amen?”
She concluded the post thanking those who have been praying for her.
“If you have prayed for me, left me a kind comment or shared my story with someone thank you it means a lot,” she wrote. “I feel the love and I’m so grateful for you!! Happy new year and I’m praying your 2024 is filled with great memories, lots of love and blessings!”
Weider has also shared why she walked away from her life as a model, telling The Christian Post, “I realized that being a model was truly not what it was cracked up to be. I felt degraded, that I was never ‘perfect’ enough, and being judged only on my appearance was hurting my self-esteem. I realized I wanted more for my life.”
“I rediscovered my faith that I had as a little girl, and it changed my life because I was passionate about using my gifts for God instead of the empty modeling industry,” she concluded.
