Great American Family actresses Shae Robins and Cindy Busby are thrilled that they get to work on projects about faith and family.
“It means everything. It’s so impactful to my community, to the people that I run into on the street and also to the people that are a part of my life,” Busby said at the Movieguide® Awards Gala of getting to share stories anyone can enjoy. “You know, to be able to share the movies that I’m a part of with my friends’ children and my cousins, and it’s just really important to be able to all sit down together and watch the movies that I’m a part of all together, no matter what, that’s so special.”
Robins and Busby presented the Teddy Bear Award® for Best Streaming/TV for Children at Movieguide®’s 33rd Annual Faith & Values Gala earlier this month.
The nominees included BUILDER BROTHERS DREAM FACTORY: EPISODES 1.1 THROUGH 1.6, DOT CONNER: WEBTECTIVE, THE CHOSEN ADVENTURES: EPISODES 1.1 – 1.6, TEAM MEKBOTS ANIMAL RESCUE EPISODES 2.1-2.4 and DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE LAST STRAW.
“Grateful to attend and present at the 2026 Movie Guide Awards last Friday. WHEN HOPE CALLS received a nomination for both Best Family Television/Streaming and The Faith & Freedom Award for Television!” Busby revealed in a post on Instagram.
Robins is up for the Grace Award for Streaming Actress for her GAF movie A CHRISTMAS PRAYER, which was also nominated for the the Epiphany Prize for Television.
A CHRISTMAS PRAYER debuted on Oct. 16 and followed Robins’ character “Natalie, a weary children’s book illustrator, [who] rediscovers her creativity and faith when she secretly fulfills the heartfelt prayer-list of a little girl, unknowingly becoming the answer to the girl’s father’s Christmas wish for love, healing, and hope.”

A CHRISTMAS PRAYER II was announced in December as part of the 2026 Great American Christmas lineup.
