HACKSAW RIDGE Actor Warns Against False Prophets: ‘Test the Spirit’
By Movieguide® Contributor
HACKSAW RIDGE actor Nate Buzolic recently took to Instagram to warn his followers about the dangers of false prophets.
“Be wary of anyone who is self-proclaiming,” he said. “A self-proclaiming prophet is a false prophet. A self-proclaiming watchman is a false watchman. A self-proclaiming healer is a false healer. Anyone who claims a divine appointment is someone I can never trust.”
“Many people can and many people have claimed to be divinely appointed—all those who claim these things are already convinced in their own mind of their appointment regardless of their self-proclamation,” Buzolic continued.
The actor is wary of anyone who makes these claims because the prophets of the Bible were slow to label themselves as such. John the Baptist, for example, refused to claim his divine appointment when questioned by the spiritual leaders.
“In his mind he had a clarity of a task not a title—those who seek titles are those who are still anchored to this world,” Buzolic said.
Meanwhile, many of the false prophets found in the Bible eagerly declare that they have been chosen by God.
The Lord, however, warns against these men in Ezekiel, saying, “Thus says the Lord God, woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel.”
“Remember this next time someone claims to be something of divine importance to you,” Buzolic added.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirit to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world,” he concluded. “The serpent often sits in plain sight—right before our eyes.”

Actor Nathaniel Buzolic recently encouraged his nearly 3 million followers to maintain and deepen their relationship with God.
“The Christian becomes a tree, a tree planted by the living waters of Yeshua of Nazareth,” Buzolic wrote. “The longer you remain by Him the deeper your roots will forge into the full knowledge & glory of the kingdom of God.”
The HACKSAW RIDGE actor added that our relationship with God helps us withstand trials.
“When trials come it will be these trees that will have no fear, rather becoming beacons of life, a life that chooses to cling to the saviors ways, words and commands,” he explained. “Droughts will come as judgement pours out on this wicked world, and thus tribulations will arrive to all but these trees will not worry, will not be anxious in thought because their confidence is in Adonai the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. They have recited His ways, remembered His words, seen His works and hold to every promise He proclaimed to all nations.”
