WINDY CITY REHAB star Alison Victoria recently celebrated eight months sober.
“What we put in is what we get out,” she told Chicago Magazine in an interview last month. “That’s the biggest reason I gave up alcohol eight months ago. My skin’s never looked better, and my overall happiness is better, too.”
She noted that people buy expensive skincare products but still drink heavily. This leaves their skin looking unhealthy.
“Beauty, health, and wellness all start from within,” the interior designer said.
She’s also prioritized her health in other ways — clean eating and working out.
“I wake up at 8 a.m. and go right into my home gym for my Lagree workout,” she told Chicago Magazine. “It’s 45 minutes…I started doing only Lagree a year and a half ago and ended up losing 10 pounds.”
Entertainment Now reported it’s been nearly a year since Victoria went official with filmmaker Brandt Anderson.
Last November she said, “I’ve never felt, like, more safe. And that just is something I never have felt in my life. I’ve always just been someone that’s like, ‘I got it. I’ll do it myself.’ You know?”
“Like, forge ahead and armor up. And it’s like I don’t have to wear that armor with him. And I get to just be, like, my authentic, vulnerable, scared-little-girl self with him and he takes care of me,” she said.
Victoria recently sold her $2.9 million dream home in Chicago for something a little smaller.
“Having 7,000 square feet to yourself seems opulent and dreamy, but in reality, it became a bit lonely, so I decided to downsize and find something that suited my lifestyle better,” Victoria told Us Weekly in March. “I travel so much for work and wasn’t really there to enjoy it as much as the space deserves to be enjoyed.”
The HGTV star is currently working on the spinoff SIN CITY REHAB (working title). In it, she will design home interiors in Las Vegas for wealthy, multi-millionaire clients.
“HGTV viewers know Alison Victoria never backs down from a challenge, and the pressure will be palpable as she makes the jump from the Windy City to Sin City,” said Betsy Ayala, Interim Head of Content, HGTV. “Lucky for us, what happens in Vegas won’t stay there as cameras capture this real estate rollercoaster ride of seven-figure investments and glitzy transformations.”
The eight-episode series is set to premiere some time late this year.
