THE VOICE will return for Season 28 this fall, and fans of the music competition have a lot to look forward to.
Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg will return as judges alongside this current season’s coach Michael Bublé. The coaches often rotate throughout seasons to keep the competition fresh, with many returning in later seasons.
McEntire previously coached Seasons 24-26, alongside Snoop Dogg in Season 26. Bublé judged on Season 26 as well as 27. Horan is appearing after a short hiatus, as he was previously a coach back in Seasons 23 and 24.
“SNOOP. REBA. NIALL. BUBLÉ. Let us know which team you will be on this fall!” NBC THE VOICE’s Instagram page posted along with a photo of the four famed judges.
THE VOICE fans are thrilled.
“Yay so excited! I would also love to see Adam and Blake back at some point. Their banter was too much fun!” one commented.
Another person added, “OMG!!! My favorite judges return 🔥😍❤️ it will be new dynamic, excitement and fun 😍❤️👏”
This season will have a different schedule than previous ones. It will air on its usual Monday and Tuesdays nights when it begins in September, but due to a programming conflict with the NBA now airing on NBC, it will air only on Monday evenings when the NBA season stars. The two-hour show will then drop to one hour when NBC’s comedies kick off. Deadline said, “It will likely be six weeks of two hours on Mondays before moving to one hour.”
THE VOICE is currently in it’s 27th season, with judges John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Levine and Bublé leading the way. This season premiere brought in over a million more viewers than AMERICAN IDOL, making it the most watched singing competition. THE VOICE’s March 17 episode pulled 5,237,000 viewers, while AMERICAN IDOL’s March 16 episode had 4,510,000 viewers.
Bublé, who is currently a judge on THE VOICE, recently took to Instagram to post a funny video about his hopes to win this season.
“POV: There’s no way you’re going to win THE VOICE for a second time in a row,” the text on the video reads as Bublé walks back and forth across the screen to the iconic JAWS music.
“In the words of the great Justin Bieber; never say never,” he added in the caption.
THE VOICE Season 27 is quickly wrapping up, with the final episodes airing on May 19 and May 20. Viewers will be able to vote for the top 5 in the competition during the May 19 episode.
