Jenny Marrs Reflects on Gratitude and the Miracle of Motherhood

Jenny Marrs, the star of HGTV’s hit series FIXER TO FABULOUS, recently said that gratitude keeps her ground amid a busy schedule.
Marrs took to Instagram to share with fans how her thankfulness for what God has provided keeps her focused.
“Jet lag combined with a busting-at-the-seams schedule had me up long before dawn,” she wrote. “As I worked through the heaping pile of unopened mail, I smiled seeing so many beloved faces on graduation announcements. I thought of my sister-in-law, preparing for my niece’s graduation next weekend and move away to college later this summer. I remembered when Karey was pregnant with Kennedy at our wedding. How can it be? How can 18 years can pass by so quickly?”
“My reminiscing was interrupted by a cough in the other room and I found Luke tossing and turning. I crawled into bed beside him and held my littlest love in my arms. As he relaxed and his breathing slowed and took on the regular rhythm of sleep, I prayed a prayer of deep gratitude. In the quiet and stillness, a verse came to mind:
‘Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart…’ (Luke 2:19),” the post continued. “Eight powerful words to describe motherhood.”
Marrs then took the time to reflect on the miracle of motherhood and God’s gift of children to her and her husband, Dave.
“Oh, how our momma hearts are the keepers of treasured moments: the miraculously fresh newborn moments, the groggy middle of the night moments, the joyful adventuring together moments, the cheering for at the sideline moments, and the beautifully hard letting go and releasing them off into the world moments,” she said. “May I never take a single of these beautiful, miraculous, mundane, passing-by-in-a-blink moments for granted.”
