John Krasinski to Host a Digital Prom

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

John Krasinski (A QUIET PLACE, THE OFFICE) will host a digital prom on April 17, 2020, for high schoolers who had their traditional dance cancelled.

Krasinski is one of the forerunners in entertainment spreading uplifting news to the public through his mini news series “Some Good News,” hence his #SGNprom idea.

To join in on Krasinki’s prom, viewers can check out the event here.

Krasinski’s efforts to encourage people aren’t surprising considering the actor has always had a sense of humor (no really, just watch THE OFFICE to see) and a heart for family.

Krasinski was nominated for a Grace Prize® at the 2019 Movieguide® Awards. Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt (MARY POPPINS RETURNS) have two young daughters and value encouragement in their marriage.

Krasinski once told E! News, “So [my wife and I are] just extremely supportive, we get what the job is and that you gotta travel and do some stuff, but it’s always about coming back home and being together, it’s the most important thing.”

The married duo’s latest project, A QUIET PLACE PART II, got postponed for release until the fall.

Until then, fans of Krasinski will have to settle for “Some Good News” on YouTube and a digital prom to keep them occupied.
