Justin Bieber Shares How God Transformed His Life on the Seventh Anniversary of His Arrest

The police arrested pop artist Justin Bieber seven years ago, but the 26-year-old artist sings a different tune now. Bieber took a moment of reflection to share how God transformed his life.
“7 years ago today I was arrested, not my finest hour. Not proud of where I was at in my life. I was hurting, unhappy, confused, angry, mislead, misunderstood and angry at God..,” Bieber said via his Instagram.
Bieber joked about the photo he posted, which depicts his arrest: “I also wore too much leather for someone in Miami.”
Bieber is candid about his faith journey and acknowledges both the joys and hardships of God’s work in him.
“All this to say God has brought me a long way. From then til now I do realize something.. God was as close to me then as he is right now. My encouragement to you is to ‘let your past be a reminder of how far God has brought you. Don’t allow shame to ruin your ‘today,'” Bieber told fans.
Bieber concluded his encouragement by noting the freedom we have in Jesus Christ: “Let the forgiveness of Jesus take over and watch your life blossom into all that God has designed you to be. LOVE YOU GUYS WITH MY WHOLE HEART…”
Bieber often shares biblical truth and uplifting posts on his social media: “Jesus is the answer to our shame, guilt, condemnation, jealousy, bitterness, unforgiveness, selfishness the list goes on.”
He also posted: “Jesus came to bring healing! I don’t know what idea of Jesus you have but Jesus came to save us. He came to sacrifice himself on the cross so that you and I could have a way out.”
Bieber’s newfound love for Christ also has translated into his music, which will start to contain more faith and truth.

Bieber called the song “the start of a new era” for his music, hinting that future music will contain similar Gospel themes.
