Kirk Cameron Announces Kids’ TV Program: ‘Biblical, Moral Values’

Kirk Cameron and Brave Books are joining forces to create safe and wholesome television content for children.
“I have partnered with Brave Books, and together we are making a brand new, one-of-a-kind children’s television program,” Cameron announced on Instagram.
“This show is called ADVENTURES WITH IGGY AND MR. KRIK,” he said. “And it’s so cool because it’s a live-action children’s show. So think of like the timeless biblical, moral values of MR. ROGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, only greatly modernized, high energy, with embedded beautiful, animated stories inside.”
Through this program, he hopes to combat the depravity that is taking over children’s minds today.
“The power of story is just unbelievably strong, and some of the new studies and articles that I’ve just been reading about, it’s unbelievable. Numbers of children who are now identifying themselves as either gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, nonbinary, queer, is now up like four thousand percent,” Cameron explained.
In a discussion with Fox News Digital, Cameron said, “It’s not just time to take back our libraries and literature. It’s time to take back every area of culture that these animals have devoured.”
Trent Talbot, CEO of Brave Books, commented on the vision for the show.
“As parents, we have been forced to settle for mindless entertainment or just downright harmful content,” he said. “It’s time we had a show for our children that not only sparked their imagination and engaged them, but also built their character and strengthened their worldview while doing so,” he said.
“ADVENTURES WITH IGGY AND MR. KRIK is the right show at the right time and will be the most important children’s television show since MR. ROGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD,” Talbot added.
Kirk Cameron told Fox News why this project is so important to him.
“I know that people whose hearts are in the right place and who are working with all of their might to do what is right can often be the unexpected miracle that changes the game. And I’ve always believed that and want to be a part of that for my generation,” he said. “That’s why I’m partnering with Brave Books… We’re not partnering with a big streaming studio or with Hollywood, because their money always has strings attached… We want to stay true to our core values, just like THE CHOSEN. They gathered their community and they made it themselves. And that’s why it’s been so remarkable.”
“The show will star Cameron as Mr. Kirk. Meanwhile, Iggy the Iguana will be puppeteered by John Kennedy, known for two decades of starring roles in shows like SESAME STREET and MUPPETS…Actress Leigh-Allyn Baker will play the role of Creative Leigh,” Fox reported.
Movieguide® previously reported on Cameron’s work:
Author and actor Kirk Cameron just launched a new program to provide books without sexualized content to schools across the nation.
“SkyTree Book Fairs was recently founded as a direct challenge…to Scholastic Book Fairs, an entity that enjoys a near-monopoly on school book-fair programs across the United States,” Fox News reported.
“It’s obvious that Scholastic is committed to indoctrinating our youth with harmful messages,” Cameron said.
“They are not just the 1,000-pound gorilla in this space. They are the space,” Cameron added. “They are the ones publishing this material. We want to knock them out of the race.”
SkyTree Books will provide books to over 600 public and private schools nationwide. These materials will not contain sexualized stories that many other children’s books do.
