Kirk Cameron Celebrates Millions of Americans Making Heartfelt Appeals to Heaven

Actor and host of the TAKEAWAYS show on TBN, Kirk Cameron, celebrated the National Day of Prayer and offered prayer and praise to God.

The National Day of Prayer, which takes place on the first Thursday of every May, encourages Americans to pray for their country and the world.

“The National Day of Prayer belongs to all Americans. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds,” The National Day of Prayer’s website reads. “Mrs. Shirley Dobson, NDP chairman, reminds us: ‘We have lost many of our freedoms in America because we have been asleep. I feel if we do not become involved and support the annual National Day of Prayer, we could end up forfeiting this freedom, too.’”

Cameron invited hundreds to celebrate the day with him at sunset on the beach.

“Yesterday, mainstream media missed the BIGGEST STORY OF ALL – Millions of Americans turned off their TV’s and phones to make heartfelt appeals to Heaven for forgiveness, healing and a national return to truth and righteousness on the National Day of Prayer,” Cameron wrote on his Instagram. “Several hundred of us gathered at the beach for a sweet time of sunset fellowship and worship. As a former atheist, I enjoy employing Earth to Heaven communication to flood the world with spiritual light and commit treason against the Kingdom of Darkness. The ruler of that evil realm flees when the Family of Faith gathers to pray.”

Cameron also quoted 2 Corinthians 7:14, which reads: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear their prayers, forgive their sins, and heal their land.”

Cameron is vocal about his faith and freedom of religion. Movieguide® previously reported:

Kirk Cameron once again defied state regulations to support religious freedom by participating in a prayer event on New Year’s Eve.

“We prayed and sang songs of thankfulness at Point Mugu beach in Cali, admiring the beauty of God’s masterpiece in the western sky,” Cameron posted to Instagram after the Dec. 31, 2020 event. “As the Master Artist, He paints with distilled water and fractured light on a canvas of thin air.”

Cameron also used the post to discuss why he chose to lead people in song, though California regulations prohibit singing in public.

“And as for the reason behind our outlawed, outdoor singing, according to NeuroscienceNews.com, a study at Mayo Clinic concluded, ‘Music has always been a refuge for people during the most difficult times, and it can certainly help during the COVID-19 pandemic.’”
