French model Cindy Bruna recently shared her testimony, including how a last-minute decision led to her meeting her husband.
“On December 6th, 2024, I invited my sister to the Shine Gospel Award in Paris,” she wrote in the first of a series of Instagram posts.
Bruna explained that she thought the event “would be a great moment of worship to share with my sister,” but the day of, she decided she didn’t want to attend anymore.
Her sister replied, “I have the feeling you are going to meet your husband tonight, we have to go.”

“On our way there I made a quiet prayer,” Bruna wrote. “God you know the desire of my heart. May your will be done.”
Bruna and her sister ended up going to the event, where a man caught her eye. The pair began chatting, and Bruna’s sister quickly decided to play matchmaker, giving the man, basketball player Blondy Baruti, Bruna’s number and instructing him to take her on a date.
“Christie was on fire ! I was so embarrassed,” Bruna recalled in part three of her post. “But God clearly had a plan.”
In her final post, she shared that, a few months before she met Blondy, she had made a vow to God that she would remain abstinent until marriage. Bruna leaned on her faith during this time, saying, “I would be lying if I say I wasn’t scared but I knew I wasn’t alone.”
“In the quiet of my uncertainty, When I didn’t have all the pieces, when things didn’t make sense, when I couldn’t see or understand the path God was leading me on, I still trusted,” she continued. “And in the waiting, He made Himself known. I saw His light. I felt His love. He showed up in the people I met, the stories I heard, the podcasts I listened to, even through humor, because yes, our God has a sense of humor.”
Bruna shared that, upon meeting her husband, “everything suddenly made sense. He himself made the decision to stay abstinent 2 years before meeting me. We had our first date and everything felt like a gift. Everything he was, everything God perfected in him. I knew.”
“I believe God used my sister to speak His promise over my life,” she concluded. “I believe His promises always come to pass. And I believe He made me wait all these years to prepare me, for Him and for my husband. To whoever is reading this, God’s timing is always perfect. Don’t lose hope.”
Bruna’s testimony is a reminder of the importance of trusting in God’s plan and His timing.
