Movieguide® Announces the Best Movies for Families, Mature Audiences of 2020

After Movieguide® aired Movieguide®’s Movies That Inspire on the REELZ Channel earlier this month, we are pleased to announce our full lists for the Best Movies for Families of 2020, as well as the Best Movies for Mature Audiences. Other prizes for the Movieguide® Awards include Epiphany Prizes® for Most Inspiring Movies and Television Shows, as well as Grace Prizes® for Best Performances in Movies and Television Shows, and the Faith and Freedom® Awards in both Movies and Television.
Best Movies For Families to Receive the prestigious Teddy Bear Award®: The movies in this category are chosen for their moral, spiritual and redemptive principles as well as production values. The movies nominated for “Best Movie for Families” are not only well made, but also contain strong moral redemptive themes. However, it must be noted that some of the Best 2020 Movies for Families in the second half of the list contain some material more suited to older children and teenagers as well as for adults.

The movies nominated for “Best Movie For Mature Audiences” are not only well made, but also contain strong moral and redemptive themes. However, it must be noted that some of the Best 2020 Movies for Mature Audiences deal with strong subject matter, and caution, or extreme caution, is advised even for older teenagers and adults.

Faith & Freedom Award® For Movies: This award is given to the movie that best promotes positive, traditional American values, liberty, free market principles, and Christian biblical values.

Grace Prize® For Best Actor or Actress Whose Performance in a Program or Movie on TV or Streaming Reveals the Heart of God: The Grace Prize® for Programs and Movies on TV or Streaming are given to an actor or actress whose performance is exceptional and best contributes to the world’s understanding of God’s love. This award is more than a Best Actor or Actress Award. It honors the performance that is remarkable, but also reveals the heart of God.
