Christian Singer Urges Us to Ask God This — Here’s Why

Natalie Grant is encouraging us to ask God to show us His “glorious presence.”

“You will be shocked at what God begins to show you when you just say those simple words: ‘God, today, show me Your glorious presence,’” the singer said during an episode of TBN’s PRAISE.

Grant continued, “I just remember that moment of reading the words of Moses. He said, ‘God, show me Your glorious presence.’ And understanding that story of — wait, God said ‘I’m going to deliver you to the Promised Land because I told you I would. But because of your sins and some things, I”m going to hold my presence back.’”

“But what is the Promised Land without [God’s] presence?” she asked. “[His] presence is the Promised Land.”

Grant explained that she prayed “everyday” for God to “show me Your glorious presence.”

“God still wants to meet you, wherever you are,” she told viewers. “So when you wake up, start going, ‘Okay, today, God show me Your glorious presence.’ And honestly, that is His will. He wants to show it to you.”

Grant concluded, “It’s a prayer He wants you to pray.”

The singer recently celebrated the end of 2024, reflecting on some of the year’s high moments.

“Looking back over 2024, I’m overwhelmed. What a year!” Grant wrote on Instagram. “Some cool things happened – like helping to pass a law, singing for a Prime Minister and also my favorite football team, gracing the cover of a magazine, having 2 songs in the top 10 on mainstream radio – I mean some amazing stuff. But family moments – school music concerts, dance recitals, college visits, and serving Jesus and His church are by the far the best moments of my year. Here’s to more of what really matters in 2025.”
