Model Olivia Culpo and husband NFL star Christian McCaffrey just welcomed their first child, a girl named Collette!
“The scariest and most rewarding of all experiences,” Culpo wrote in an Instagram story, along with a photo of herself and McCaffrey during the birth. “As soon as he came into the room I felt most at peace. Look at the grip.”
In another story, she wrote, “Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world. A love like no other.”
Culpo announced the pregnancy earlier this year, captioning a photo of herself, “Next chapter, motherhood.”
“I’m so excited and grateful to be pregnant. I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “It’s very special.”
Culpo added that McCaffrey was “made to be a dad,” saying, “He’s so excited. I think he’s gonna really enjoy it and be just the best.”

McCaffrey shared his excitement about becoming a first-time dad in an interview with Esquire, saying, “It comes in waves of excitement. You continue living your life and then it hits you in these random times. I’m so, so excited to be a dad. My wife’s been killing it, so I give her all the credit. She’s the one that has had to do all the work.”
The model also spoke about any plans she and her husband might have for more kids, explaining that the couple are staying “open-minded” about everything.
“I would say anything that you think you’re going to do going into parenthood could change,” Culpo said. “Overall, staying open-minded is the way that I’m approaching this. I feel like you can’t get ahead of yourself because you just never know.”
She continued, “It’s also so particular based on the child. I don’t know yet, but we’ll see. I’m definitely really excited to figure all of that out.”
Culpo shared that she’s “really excited” to start creating “traditions with my new family.”
“It is fun growing your family with someone that you really love and just being able to see Christian as a dad will be really exciting,” she said. “I just know he’s going to be such a good partner and husband and father. I can’t wait to see him step into that role. It will just be unlike any other experience.”
It looks like Culpo and McCaffrey are more than ready to start this new chapter of their life as a family!
