In the final days of filming Season 5 of THE CHOSEN, the cast and crew faced a whirlwind of emotions and logistical challenges. The video opens with a glimpse of the set, where the team is preparing for the last scene to be filmed. THE CHOSEN has won multiple Teddy Bear Awards® from Movieguide® for its strong biblical content.

“Look at this, this is the last day,” a crew member exclaims, capturing the bittersweet atmosphere.

The video delves into the symbolic significance of filming the Last Supper scene in a small, intimate room.

“There’s something symbolic about being in this small room, kind of trapped together,” one of the crew members reflects. This setting adds a layer of depth to the portrayal of this iconic moment.

The technical aspects of block shooting are explained, showcasing the meticulous planning required to shoot multiple episodes together.

“We’re actually doing two different episodes that we’re bringing together and shooting together,” Adam Drake, 1st assistant director, explains. This method ensures continuity and quality across scenes.

Despite the exhaustion from long hours, the crew’s dedication to the project shines through.

“I don’t know if I’ve just been awake for 100 million hours straight,” actor Noah James jokes, highlighting the emotional toll of the process. The team tackles iconic scenes with care, knowing they are part of the cultural consciousness.

Technical challenges, such as soundproofing issues and managing traffic noise, add to the complexity of the shoot.

“The stage doesn’t have too much sound-deadening material in it,” a crew member notes, emphasizing the need for vigilance in maintaining audio quality.

The final day of filming is marked by logistical hurdles, including moving equipment between locations. “You have to pack up the cameras, the lights, the equipment,” a crew member describes, illustrating the effort required to transition between settings.

As the season wraps up, there is a palpable sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future.

“These seasons don’t get any easier, but we have gotten so much closer,” a crew member reflects.

The video ends with a celebration of the team’s hard work and a look forward to post-production and future seasons.

“That is a wrap on Season 5,” the crew announces, marking the end of an intense but rewarding journey.
