THE CHOSEN To Surpass BAYWATCH As Most Translated Series Of All Time

THE CHOSEN will soon surpass BAYWATCH as the most-dubbed series of all time as it prepares to be broadcast around the world.
Brad Pelo, one of THE CHOSEN’s producers, announced that the show is about to overtake BAYWATCH as the show with the most overdubs into different languages.
BAYWATCH’s record stands at 34. THE CHOSEN is set to be translated into 50 different languages this year.
THE CHOSEN’s worldwide reach was brought about by its immense popularity in America, as well its partnership with the ComeAndSee Foundation, a nonprofit that is working to get THE CHOSEN to every country in the world and translate the show into 600 languages.
Pelo explained that the show will partner with Lionsgate to help with the international distribution.
“We get to retain control of the creation of the show,” he said. “The same people that have written the show in the past will write it in the future. Dallas will continue to direct it. The only role that Lionsgate plays is once we make the show, they want to get it out to the world, just like we do.”

Since Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights of the Angel Studios show THE CHOSEN, the franchise announced its plan to reach one billion people.
The president and executive producer of the show, Brad Pelo told The Christian Post in an interview, “Lionsgate, as most people know is a Hollywood studio. And we were blessed in the early days to be represented by Angel Studios who kind of got the crowdfunding going and the initial support of the show.”
“We’ve kind of outgrown Angel Studios at this point and so we now have a new partner in Lionsgate, who will be our worldwide distributor of the show,” Pelo added.
Pelo even went on to say, “The show will start appearing on new platforms, broadcast outlets, and even though you’ll still be able to watch the show for free in ‘The Chosen’ app, you will be able to see it on many of your favorite places to watch television.”
