Tim Tebow Shares Stories Leading Up to Virtual Night to Shine Event

By Movieguide® Staff

The 7th annual Night to Shine event hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation was virtual this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Night to Shine event is held simultaneously worldwide on the Friday before Valentine’s Day each year.

This year, the safety of the guests and their families was a primary focus. The event kicked off Friday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. across the United States and 32 countries worldwide.

Celebrities including Carrie Underwood, Charles Barkley, Chip, and Joanna Gaines, Alex Rodriguez, Harry Connick Jr., Manny Pacquiao, Lady A, Tori Kelly, Sadie Robertson Huff, Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, and others came together to offer their voices to the virtual prom night.

Fox 30 reported: “Event leaders say many host churches also plan to implement safe in-person components such as delivering gift bags to those who cannot leave their homes, decorating their yards, and offering the opportunity to attend Shine-Thru, a drive-thru version of the prom.”

Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine event seeks to offer an unforgettable prom experience for people with special needs 14 years old and up.

Tim Tebow’s website reads: “The Christian faith is about loving Jesus and loving people, and that is what we are trying to do with this foundation and all of our outreaches. Whether it is spending a weekend encouraging a child with a life-threatening illness through a W15H, helping a family adopt an international child with special needs, crowning kings and queens of the prom, or by showing God’s love through our four other outreaches, our goal is to let people know that God loves them and that they are worthy.”

Tim Tebow shared many of the heartfelt stories on his Instagram. See some of them below!
