WONDER WOMAN 3 Won’t Be Developed, Despite Recent Rumors

Despite recent rumors that WONDER WOMAN 3 would be developed, a source recently revealed that there are currently no plans to produce the movie.
Movieguide® previously reported that WONDER WOMAN star Gal Gadot suggested a third movie was in the works.
“Despite reports claiming the movie fell through, Gadot confirmed that plans for the third WONDER WOMAN movie have moved forward. ‘I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James (Gunn) and from Peter (Safran) is that we’re gonna develop a WONDER WOMAN 3 together,’ Gadot said.”
“I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran [co-chairperson and CEO of DC alongside Gunn], and what they told me, and I’m quoting: ‘You’re in the best hands. We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. [We] love you as Wonder Woman— you’ve got nothing to worry about,’” the actress told Flaunt Magazine.
However, contrary to Gadot’s claims, Variety reported, “According to the sources, a third WONDER WOMAN film is not in development at DC Studios nor do Gunn and Safran have plans at this time for any WONDER WOMAN project in the new DC Universe other than their previously announced PARADISE LOST prequel series for Max.”
Plans for a third WONDER WOMAN movie initially fell through last year after Gunn and Safran took over and revamped the DC Universe.
