GO LOOK IN THE MANGER is a simply animated video which will appeal to younger children. Based on a true story, it tells about a little boy who learns the truth about Christmas, the hard way. In the midst of his excitement over the Christmas of 1966, 8-year-old Ricky forgets about his school project. Desperate to come back the next day and impress his teacher with a memorable “show-and-tell,” Ricky strikes a deal with his mother to show her favorite record at school. The deal is simple: she will let him take the record, but if something happens to it, he will forfeit all his Christmas presents. When he plays “King of the Hill” with his friend, the record breaks, and Ricky has to face the consequences. Discouraged, Ricky finds no presents for him under the tree, but at church on Christmas Eve, Ricky hears the story of the greatest Christmas gift ever, the gift of Jesus. In this video, children will find out what Ricky discovers when his forgiving mother tells him to “go look in the manger.”
