More Detail:

Episodes 1 to 3 of Season 2 of HOT WHEELS LET’S RACE follow the familiar crew as they take on new challenges to win the Ultimate Garage. After winning Season One, Coop is the favorite, but a new racer, Cruise, comes onto the scene to steal the show. When Cruise plans to tear down the garage if she wins, the other racers team up to save their beloved garage.

While the six racers maintain their competitiveness from Season One, their desire to save the garage helps them focus solely on working together. Their goal is to boost a singular racer’s flame badges so they can beat Cruise. Throughout the first three episodes, the team experiences multiple challenges, perils of their own doing, and faceoffs against the villain from last season, Professor Rearview, who continues to threaten to destroy the city.

These trials help them develop new skills and learn to work as a team, equipping them to take on Cruise in subsequent races. Throughout the episodes, they learn lessons about hard work, sacrifice, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Though they don’t beat Cruise during the first three episodes in either of the two races, they continue working hard to save the garage.

HOT WHEELS LET’S RACE is a very engaging show with solid voice acting talent. The cars’ designs show great creativity, and the race tracks resemble the most epic designs kids can create at home. The show feels like the story unfolds in a child’s imagination while playing with their HOT WHEELS toys.

At the same time, each episode serves a purpose in developing the overarching plot of Season 2, such as the distribution of flame badges, the development of new skills, and teamwork. Furthermore, the characters learn lessons emphasizing positive morals like good sportsmanship and sacrifice.

The show also introduces positive examples of family and a father caring for his daughter through Cruise and Professor Rearview. It also exemplifies how authority figures inform our values, as Cruise holds the same nefarious values that her father employs.

The show features multiple examples of peril that could be intense for young viewers, such as a pizza sign rolling toward the Ultimate Garage, placing it in existential danger. Furthermore, the racers experience dangerous stunts, such as falling from great heights, that would be deadly in real life. Though the racers are always okay, this could influence young viewers.

One of the episodes also features a shark that could be scary for very young viewers. The character Mac makes potty humor jokes, and a shark eats a racer and poops it out with a loud fart. Overall, episodes 1 to 3 of Season 2, HOT WHEELS LET’S RACE, have a strong moral worldview and teaches children positive values. Movieguide® advises parental discernment for young viewers.
