The two larva creatures that end up on Mars, where they have a series of comical adventures and get involved in all sorts of shenanigans. Based on a popular TV series in Korea, LARVA IN MARS is divided into three episodes with no dialogue and contains multiple vignettes where Yellow and Red maintain a strong friendship and meet new friends, but the miniseries contains some scatological humor and slapstick violence.

Episode One chronicles Yellow and Red’s initial trip to Mars after they fall into a vat of dumpling mixture slated to be packed and sealed aboard a rocket ship. During the trip, the friends experience anti-gravity and don’t know what to do. They stick together and manage to live through the journey. Once on Mars, Yellow and Red meet a robot on the rocket ship. The robot’s initially unsure of them but eventually realizes they are harmless and friendly.

Later in the episode, Red and Yellow find themselves on the Larva News and chased around Mars by paparazzi. As Red and Yellow escape the paparazzi, the two get into more shenanigans and end up on the news again. The episode ends with Red and Yellow “auditioning” for a job at the local convenience store where they fail the audition. However, the two friends hatch a plan to get the job and end up being awful employees.

In Episode Two, Yellow and Red continue their adventure on Mars with more silliness than in Episode One. The first segment of the episode is titled, “Fart Baby 1.” It begins with Yellow and Red inside the convenience store. Yellow spots a black and yellow hazardous Rubik’s cube of some sort and presses the skull-and-crossbones button in the middle of the cube. Out pops a burnt orange star, which Yellow promptly eats. Moments later, Yellow lets out a big fart that forms into a baby. Yellow and Red befriend and care for the baby. This shows the nurturing side of Yellow and Red as they do all they can to comfort the baby.

Halfway through, Red spots a photo of Elvis Presley and decides to take this photo to the barber shop. While there, Red gets a serum poured on his head that gives him instant hair. The Barber goes to work and gives Red an Elvis Presley hairstyle. Yellow gets the same serum poured on him and explodes into a big hairball. Yellow goes to the barbershop to get his hair fixed but leaves looking like a dog.

The final episode of the season, Episode Three, begins with a chaotic scene. Red and Yellow go to a restaurant where they witness a customer fall to the floor after eating spicy food. EMTs arrive with a gurney to save the person. Yellow and Red take it upon themselves to survive the spicy challenge. They select the spiciest thing on the menu and take their best shot. As soon as Yellow eats the food, he spits fire and accidentally burns down the restaurant.

Yellow and Red are thrown into jail where they’re forced to work and appear to be on death’s door from starvation. The two friends try to escape by digging their way out of jail. As they dig to several different locations, the police officer appears to catch them. Finally, Yellow and Red dig themselves outside of the jail. For a moment, the two friends are free but are soon caught by the police. The episode cuts to Yellow and Red being released from jail with white and gray beards as if they’re riding off into the sunset together.

When Yellow and Red are first introduced in LARVA IN MARS, they appear to be just a couple of eating machines. However, it shortly becomes clear that they are close friends.
