Jim and Cindy are told they can’t have a child, though they have tried everything possible. Distressed, they decide to write down all of their hopes and dreams for a child, dreams such as a child being honest to a fault and loving. Once they write down all the adjectives they want in a child, Jim and Cindy bury them with the box in their yard. That night as they are sleeping, the rain starts to come down, and a child comes from the ground, Timothy. In awe, Cindy and Jim embrace Timothy but are in complete shock. Even more shocking, Timothy has leaves growing from his legs.

Believing that Timothy is the child they had always wanted, Jim and Cindy try to be the best parents. They enroll him in the soccer team and root for him at the games, even though he’s just a water boy. They take him to bring your child to work day. Through all this, they realize Timothy actually does have the same traits as they wrote and placed in the box. There is still a mystery about Timothy Green, however, that will change them forever.
