What You Need To Know:

In Episode Five, Season Two of REACHER on Amazon Prime, Reacher and the surviving members of his former Army unit find out the reason their three friends were killed. It’s all part of a terrorist plot to sell 650 state-of-the-art anti-aircraft missiles that can shoot commercial planes out of the air. The team discovers the mysterious arms dealer’s henchmen have hijacked the missiles. Their plans to stop the transfer of the weapons to the highest bidder are put on hold briefly while they attend the Christian, military funeral of their third murdered friend.

Episode Five of REACHER: Season Two is an exciting, slam-bang episode. Season Two is one of the more gripping action series available on the major streaming outlets. Best of all, Episode Five has strong Christian, pro-family, patriotic values and overt references to resurrection and eternal life through Jesus. The best scenes, which are extremely moving and uplifting, are smack dab in the middle of Episode Five. However, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution because of strong foul language and intense violence involving ruthless, murderous terrorists in Episode Five of REACHER: Season Two.

Strong Christian worldview with strong moral, pro-family, patriotic values includes a Christian funeral scene with references to resurrection and eternal life, a police officer encourages a little boy who lost his father to pray every night, a reference to Heaven and to Saint Jerome Emiliani, the patron saint of orphans;

Foul Language:
27 obscenities (including 10 “f” words), one profanity using Christ and an obscene gesture when someone makes an insult joke ;

Violence:
Shootouts include some point blank shootings, two bad guys shot in head, and a truck driver is shot in chest during a hijacking of advanced military missiles, two intense gunfights, good guy threatens assassin who’s involved in a terrorist plot by grabbing the man’s throat, hero strongly suggests he and the good guys may have to kill all the bad guys in the terrorist plot, car chase occurs with minor crashes;

Sex:
No sex scenes, but two verbal references to people having lead promiscuous previously;

Nudity:
No nudity;

Alcohol Use:
Some alcohol use;

Smoking and/or Drug Use and Abuse:
No smoking but there’s a subplot about a drug bust; and,

Miscellaneous Immorality:
Villains hijack a major arms shipment that could be used to kill hundreds of people.

In Season Two, Episode Five of REACHER on Amazon Prime, Jack Reacher and the surviving members of his former Army investigative unit find out the reason three of their friends were killed was because of a terrorist plot to buy 650 state-of-the-art anti-aircraft missiles that are impossible to stop. Episode Five of REACHER: Season Two is an explosive, exciting episode, with strong Christian, pro-family, patriotic values and overt references to resurrection and eternal life through Jesus, but the episode has strong foul language, including several “f words, and intense violence involving ruthless, murderous terrorists.

The episode opens with Reacher and David trying to get information from Homeland Security about the mysterious ruthless arms dealer trying to grab the 650 anti-aircraft missiles. They learn that the man sells weapons to the highest bidder.

Meanwhile, Karla and Frances travel to Denver to stop the corrupt company making the missiles from releasing them to anyone. However, they learn that they just missed the truck driver who picked up the missiles. They speed in their car to catch up the truck, only to find that bad guys from the arms dealer have shot the driver and put the weapons into another trailer. A shootout occurs. Karla and Frances manage to survive, but their car is destroyed, as is the truck that once held the weapons.

Karla and Frances return to New York City, where the team’s plans to stop the transfer of the weapons to the highest bidder are put on hold briefly while they attend the funeral of their third murdered friend. Another attempt is made on their lives, however, leading to more suspense.

Episode Five of REACHER: Season Two is an exciting, slam-bang episode. Season Two continues to be one of the more gripping action series available on the major streaming outlets. That said, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution because of strong foul language and intense violence involving ruthless, murderous terrorists in Episode Five of REACHER: Season Two.

At 2:22-29, family man says about finding his wife, “Turns out I didn’t just want any girl in the world, just that one.” At 26:15-33, the police officer helping the team tells boy, “I want you to have this too.” It’s a card with a picture of Saint Jerome Emiliani, the patron saint of children whose parents “go to Heaven.” He urges the boy to “say the prayer every night on the back.” At 29:40-55, the priest at the cemetery starts with, “We commit our brother,” and ends with “the resurrection and the eternal life. Amen.” At 30:06-18, a military salute occurs to the dead person where many people also salute and an American flag is unfurled. At 30:33-45, an armed gun salute begins at a funeral and ends with Reacher saluting as the coffin about to be lowered.
