Congratulations to Melody Federer! She is being considered for Grammy Nomination in numerous categories ranging from Record of the Year to New Artist. Below is an interview with Melody when her album first came out.
MELODY FAITH FEDERER, the inventor of Stride-Pop (www.melodyfederer.com), has been attracting attention all over Europe and now brings her melodies to the United States.
Her career took
off when she was introduced to legendary entertainer Pat Boone by Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of MOVIEGUIDE®, and Pat was so impressed with her original songs that he has produced her on his Gold Label. Since then, she has been in demand at all the top events on the Continent.
This year she has performed for Ralph Lauren at Vogue Fashion Week in Paris, Ambassador Rivkin at his Palace in Paris, The University Club in NYC, La Roqueboro Boogie Festival, Le Petit Journal Montparnesse, and Le Meridien Jazz Club.
Although she’s played many high profile shows, she’s not above such spontaneous acts as entertaining her fellow passengers via intercom on a flight between Paris and NYC. She’s also gotten recognition as the first artist to perform in a Paris Starbucks.
Melody considers Ted Baehr her spiritual counselor, and says every time she sees him her faith in Christ is renewed. She wants to be a positive example to young girls in an ever-darkening world.
Now, Melody is on the verge of releasing her new album, “An Americaine in Paris,” a collection of innovative, melodic hooks with expressive lyrics. Already the buzz has started, “There’s a new Melody in town!” Her songs are currently being considered for the next Woody Allen movie and ARTHUR.
