How Clint Eastwood Finds Comfort in His Large Family

By Allyson Vannatta, Senior Writer

Director Clint Eastwood just celebrated his 90th birthday last week, and he’s keeping his family close as he enters a new decade of his life.

According to Fox News, “He’s taken great comfort that at this time of his life, all his kids are close.”

Eastwood likes to “keep in touch with all eight of his children and their families.”

His son, Scott Eastwood, said the Oscar winner stuck close to home to celebrate his birthday. “We’re going to do just a family thing. Very, very calm, very mellow. He doesn’t really like birthdays.”

Instead of a fancy dinner, the actor said the family planned to have a nice lunch.

“We’ll sneak a cake in there, definitely,” Scott said. “He probably won’t like it, but we’ll put one in.”

Eastwood’s daughter, Alison, posted a video of the family singing happy birthday. After they finish singing, Eastwood can be heard telling them to, “Knock it off,” while smiling and slightly laughing.

Just because Eastwood turned a year older, doesn’t mean he’s slowing down when it comes to his Hollywood career.

Last year, the director released RICHARD JEWELL, a movie about the security guard falsely accused of planting a bomb at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA.
