Jenny Marrs Talks About ‘Special’ Project Her Family Took Part In

HGTV star Jenny Marrs recently took to Instagram to share a project her family took part in, along with a man named Jay who brings joy to children with cancer.
She wrote:
Words fail me for how to describe days like today. A real life hero named Jay asked our family to be a small part of this incredible thing he quietly and faithfully does in his community. Each year, he and his friends stay up all night and build a playhouse in 24 hours for a child who has walked the hardest and cruelest road a child can walk: battling childhood cancer. Jay does this because, many years ago, he was in their shoes. He was also a patient at @stjude and he has made it his life’s purpose to turn around and hold out his hand for all the ones who walk behind him.
As I prayed over the recipient of this year’s gifted playhouse, precious Levi, I was stirred to ask God to continue to make beauty from ashes. In the way He did for Jay, I prayed this for Levi. I know who my God is and I know that He doesn’t author pain or cancer or hurting. He loves joyful nerf gun battles in suburban backyards inside of new “outposts” and He loves laughter. He can take all of the fear and the tears and the anxious doctor’s appointments of the last couple of years and turn them for good.
I pray He continues to use Levi’s life to impact others in the same way He did today. Our family left that backyard forever changed. Levi is a bright light and a unstoppable force for good. Thank you, Jesus, for the words “remission” and please keep this sweet boy tucked gently in your embrace. He is pretty special.

Jenny Marrs of FIXER TO FABULOUS recently shared that she and her husband, Dave, partnered with a nonprofit organization called Saving Grace NWA to help young women find homes within their community.
“Saving Grace serves young women ages 18-25 who have aged out of foster care or are facing homelessness. We provide safe housing in a dorm-style setting and offer each young woman educational assistance, career guidance, coaching, counseling, and more,” the organization’s website reads.
The Marrs family recently renovated an inn, which includes a chicken coop, and the young ladies at Saving Grace will help care for the property.
