Tori Roloff Shares Prayer For Her Children: ‘Help [People] Find Jesus’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Tori Roloff reflected on the Biblical inspiration behind her youngest child, Josiah’s, name and how she hopes it influences his life.

“King Josiah: ‘Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did–with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.’ 2 Kings 23:25,” Tori wrote under a series of photos of the 15-month-old.

She continued, “During his reign (that started when he turned 8 by the way) he discovered the scrolls that are believed to be Deuteronomy. Instead of burning and running from this truth, he shared the good news with the people of Jerusalem. He shared the good news at the risk of being killed by his own people. He surrounded himself with the right people to help spread the truth.”

Tori wrote that she enjoys learning about King Josiah because it makes her think of her “sweet Si” and what the future might hold for him.

“How I pray that he shares the truth like King Josiah,” she said. “How I pray that he (and all my kids) can help return those who are lost to God, or help those who are seeking find Jesus. I know this little guy has big plans. He is determined and stubborn and independent already. He has spice and attitude and opinions already and I know he will share them all with the world.”

The Roloff family — Tori, husband Zach, son Jackson, 6, and daughter Lilah, 3 — recently celebrated Josiah’s first birthday.

“Happy birthday to our sweet Josiah!” she captioned pictures of his cowboy-themed party. “We love you so much Si! You are the sweet guy ever. You are always so happy and love watching your family. I have loved getting to love on you the last year si si!”

Movieguide® previously reported on how Jackson and Lilah have adjusted to their baby brother:

“We were preparing ourselves for jealous moments or for things to kind of go awry every once in a while,” Tori shared. “But they literally haven’t. They’ve both been so affectionate and just in love with Josiah and it’s been so much fun to watch.”

“They are slightly obsessed with him and it’s adorable,” she continued. “They’re just both very concerned about where he is, what he is doing. They take turns feeding him the bottle and want to bring him blankies and binkies.”

Zach added, “We’re really stoked. It was awesome watching Tori once again become a mom and just watch her honestly do great and welcome a new baby like no one’s business.”

Like Zach and his siblings, Josiah was born with achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism.

When asked on Instagram if she wished she could raise “an average six child,” Tori replied, “Absolutely not. I’m Obsessed with the three kids God gave me and I’d have it no other way.”
