Milwaukee Bucks players got the chance to take over the team’s social media accounts, and shooting guard AJ Green seized the moment to share the gospel.
A photo captured Green typing his post, which shared the verse John 14:6. It reads, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

Green often shares about his faith on his social media platform.
In one post, he shared, “I can’t gain a thing if I’ve already won✝️.”
In another post, Green reflected on his wedding to his wife, Kaylee.
“We’re married!” the couple wrote in a joint post. “We are overjoyed by the amount of love and support we received this past weekend. The day was more beautiful than we could’ve ever asked or imagined. Marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts and we are so excited to begin our lives together as one in service to the Lord. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and sacrificed time to help make our day possible.”
In August, he reflected on getting to play against athletes in Bhutan.
“Ephesians 3:20 – ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,'” Green wrote. “Blessed to have had the opportunity to share my love for Jesus and the game of basketball with the great people and country of Bhutan!”
Green played college basketball at the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his degree and then entered the NBA Draft.
He ended up not getting drafted, but he later signed a two-way contract with the Bucks. In 2023, he signed another contract, where he currently plays.
In the Bucks’ post-game win over the Detroit Pistons, Green led his team with a “game-high 22 points on a perfect shooting night. He went 5-for-5 from 3-point range and 7-for-7 from the free-throw line, becoming one of three Milwaukee players to reach double figures and the only one to score more than 12 points,” per Sporting News.
Praise God for athletes like Green who boldly declare their faith!
