Amid dark times, Sadie Robertson Huff reminds her followers to rely on their foundation of faith.
“You can’t prepare yourself for all the bad news; you just open your phone, and it’s another earth-shaking devastation,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “We live in a fallen world…It’s dark. It’s sad. There is wind, rain, quaking…shootings, stabbings, hatred, EVIL.”
Huff continued, “You cannot predict its timing, and you honestly can’t hide from it as much as you want to. These moments make you want to cower down and hide, but that’s not an option. That’s not helpful. Evil does not get to win. So, what can you do?”
“Check your foundation,” she urged followers. “Don’t wait for another thing to happen…don’t just numb it out. Wake up! Build solid ground! This world does not have a hope that is sustainable enough to endure the storm.”

Huff told followers she’s been thinking about the verse, “God planted eternity in the human heart,” referencing Ecclesiastes 3:11, explaining that the idea of eternity “sobers” her.
“I’m so thankful God planted the sobering thought of eternity in our hearts to know THIS IS NOT OUR HOME. THIS IS NOT THE END,” she wrote. “AND He gives us hope for eternity. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we get to spend eternity with a Heavenly Father whose very nature is love.”
In her post, Huff also shared Matthew 7:24-26 — “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand,” per BibleGateway.
Huff recently helmed the LO Sister Conference, which is part of her Live Original ministry.
“Cannot even begin to type up the words that encapsulate what these last two days have looked like & meant to me,” she wrote of the two-day conference on Instagram. “I have seen lives transformed purely by the Holy Spirit, girls dedicate their lives to him, fully embrace the love of the Father, and receive salvation.”
She continued, “There is nothing more beautiful to see! This is exactly what it’s all about and I’ll never ever not be amazed by it. More to come… but for now, I pray that you have the eyes to see & ears to hear. Jesus is speaking to you with an outstretched arm, sister!”
Huff’s recent post is an encouragement to any who feel shaken by recent dark times to look to their faith and strengthen its foundation through their relationship with Christ.
